Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of WebSignalytics, operated by Lawson & Christopher (Ottawa, Canada). By signing up for or using the service, you agree to these terms. We've written them plainly because we think that's how agreements should work.

The service

WebSignalytics connects to your Google Analytics account (with your permission), monitors your website's performance each week, and delivers a plain-language report to your inbox every Monday. It also monitors AI search engine visibility for your site and brand. The service is provided as described at websignalytics.com.

Your account

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• Each subscription covers one website. Additional sites require additional subscriptions.
• You must be the authorised administrator of any Google Analytics property you connect to WebSignalytics.

Free trial

Your 14-day free trial begins when you connect your Google Analytics account, not when you sign up. No credit card is required during the trial. If you do not subscribe before the trial ends, your reports will pause and no charge will be made. Your account and data are retained and accessible if you decide to subscribe later.

Subscriptions and billing

• Subscriptions are billed monthly, annually, or for three years upfront, depending on your chosen plan.
• Your subscription price is locked at the tier active when you sign up. This price will not increase for as long as you maintain an active subscription.
• Billing is processed by Paddle, who acts as the Merchant of Record. Your payment details are handled by Paddle, not by WebSignalytics.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You will receive a reminder email 3 days before any annual or 3-year renewal.

Cancellation and refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from Account Settings with one click. No phone call or email is required.
• Upon cancellation, your access continues until the end of your current billing period. No further charges will be made.
• Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. Access runs to the end of the current month.
• Annual and 3-year subscriptions are eligible for a pro-rated refund of unused time, calculated as: total paid × (days remaining ÷ total days in plan). Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5 business days.
• If you cancel and reactivate within 12 months, your original locked price is restored automatically.
• If you reactivate after 12 months, the current subscription tier price applies.

Founding tier

The first 50 subscribers are offered a Founding tier price of $19 CAD/month (or equivalent annual/3-year rate). This price is permanently locked for Founding subscribers. Founding tier slots are allocated at signup. A Founding subscriber who cancels retains their Founding tier price for 12 months. After 12 months without reactivation, the Founding slot returns to the available pool and the subscriber's price reverts to the current active tier upon reactivation.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use WebSignalytics to monitor websites you do not own or are not authorised to analyse.
• Attempt to circumvent, reverse engineer, or exploit the service or its underlying systems.
• Share your account credentials with others outside your organisation.
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable law.

Google Analytics access

By connecting your Google Analytics account, you authorise WebSignalytics to access your GA4 data in read-only mode. We will not modify, delete, or share your GA4 data. You may revoke this access at any time from your Google Account settings. Revoking access will prevent report generation until access is restored.

Report accuracy

WebSignalytics reports are generated from your Google Analytics data combined with AI-generated interpretation. While we aim for accuracy, reports are advisory in nature. The recommendations and narratives are generated by AI and should be reviewed in the context of your knowledge of your own business. WebSignalytics does not guarantee specific outcomes from following any recommendation.

AI search visibility results are based on weekly probe queries sent to Perplexity and OpenAI. Results reflect what those services returned at the time of querying and may not represent all possible AI search responses across all contexts.

Service availability

We aim to deliver reports every Monday morning. Occasionally, reports may be delayed due to API availability issues with Google Analytics, our AI providers, or our own infrastructure. In the event of a failed report run, we will notify you by email. We do not offer credits or refunds for individual missed reports due to technical issues beyond our control.

Data and privacy

Our collection and use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Intellectual property

WebSignalytics and its underlying software, design, and content are owned by Lawson & Christopher. Your analytics data remains yours. The report content generated from your data is yours to use as you see fit.

Limitation of liability

WebSignalytics is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lawson & Christopher is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. In cases of suspected fraud or abuse, we may terminate immediately. In other cases, we will provide 14 days notice by email before terminating an account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ottawa, Ontario.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
