Google Search Console (GSC)

Google Search Console (GSC) is Google’s free tool showing how your site performs in Google Search — the queries you appear for, your impressions, clicks, average position, and any indexing or technical issues. Unlike GA4, which measures people on your site, GSC measures how you show up in search.

Why it matters

It’s the closest thing to seeing your site through Google’s eyes: which searches bring you up, whether pages are indexed, and when something breaks. Every site doing SEO should have it connected.

GSC vs GA4

They answer different questions. GSC = visibility in search, before the click. GA4 = behaviour after the visit. You need both for the full picture.

WebSignalytics connects to your Google Analytics and emails a plain-language report every Monday — what changed, why it matters, and what to do next, including whether AI search is citing you. No dashboards, no logging in.
